Kids Art: Fluffy Bunny

This is the week that my son won't have any classes because it's their Quarter Break. I am again at a dilemma because then I had to keep my son busy and productive at home. Since I also work at home, I need to keep him busy so I get things done for my clients. Thank you Google because I came across this page called First Palette with gazillions of arts and craft ideas for kids. Both he and I browsed the page and the first thing that caught his eye was The Cotton Bunny Craft. He calls it the fluffy bunny.

You need:

  • Cotton
  • Wiggly Eyes
  • Small Pink Pompom (We used a bead because we couldn't find one at the store)
  • Glue
  • Scissors
  • White paper
  • Pink Crayon

The instructions on the webpage was pretty straightforward so it wasn't really that hard for us. The issue was on execution and how decent this bunny is going to be.

Bunny heads made of cotton. We glued the wiggly eyes and the bunny ears.

The bunny ears we cut from an old folder and colored it using a pink crayon.

A and his bunny.

We then rolled another bunch of cotton for the body and the legs and ta-dah!

Our bunnies

We admit our bunnies look a little creepy but the important thing is we had fun making it. We had a good laugh especially when we were trying to put the whole thing together. It didn't cost much too.

Cotton - Php 20
Wiggly Eyes - Php 5 (10 pcs)
Crayon - free
Paper - free
Glue - Php 11
Beads - Php 9

For just Php 45 (approximately a little over a dollar), I get to spend time with the little one. Now he's got the rest of materials to play with. He said he's going to make a cotton snowman next.

You can find the complete instructions at the First Palette's website.
