There
were a lot of things that we looked forward to during the last Holiday Season. One
was our family’s week-long vacation to Bacolod because it will be our first
time celebrating the New Year there and the other is sinking our teeth into the
Premium Honey Glazed Ham from Frabelle that was delivered at our doorstep.
Noche
Buena is never the same without Ham at our table. Call that the Quimpo family
Tradition. While the kids running
around, playing around and laughing, my husband went to prepare and cook the
ham.
The Claim
Frabelle Foods
Premium Honey Glazed Ham is made of whole muscle meat that came from the ham
leg. It does not separate when sliced or cooked. It is naturally smoked using real wood chips then caramelized to
perfection. Topped with pure honey and sugar, the ham is blowtorched to
produce that brownish glazed covering and the sweet succulent taste.
The
Verdict
The ham was
everything that it promised to be and more. It was delicious and very tender. One can taste the
smokiness and the sweetness of the meat inside. I had to remind myself that there are other
family members who’d like to try this
yummy treat. The kids and I ate it plain while my husband and my mother-in-law
made a ham sandwich.
Will I be buying
this the next time? Most definitely! This would have been on our table during
our Media Noche if it were available in Bacolod. Now that I’m back in Manila, I’ll be hitting the grocery soon
so I could buy one for my Parents and have it shipped. This is one ham that
will most likely be served on days that we feel like eating one.
Thank you Frabelle
Foods for making our Noche Buena complete.

DeleteWe love Frabelle products too! My fave is their bacon while the kids are totally into yummy hotdogs. :D
ReplyDeleteHappy New Year to you and your family! Hope you enjoyed your stay in Bacolod for the holidays and will share to my mom your insights on Frabelle's ham so we too could experience its goodness :)
ReplyDeleteI have to try this out. But, i have to check if this is already in Zamboanga City.
ReplyDeleteMy mom was so happy last Christmas because they received a ham from our neighbors and it's really nice to see neighbors exchanging gifts especially this time of the year. I'm glad that your family enjoyed a good feast :)
ReplyDeletemy siblings and i had a ham that we gave it to my mom last Christmas. I had not tasted mine but the one they cook was delicious enough for my taste buds.
ReplyDeleteHmmm I want to try it. I always measure ham against Excellente that my Mom used to buy :)
ReplyDeleteGood for you... it looks good in the pictures too. I'm following your blog. Happy New Year!

Is it a new brand? I noticed it's been getting a lot of media attention lately. Well, new or not, the ham surely looks good! Sayang lang, Christmas season is already over.
ReplyDeleteThat brand is new to me, but I'm not really familiar with food brands hehe. How much is it?
ReplyDeleteChristmas is complete with a good ham on the Noche Buena table. :) I'm sure Frabelle is one good brand.
ReplyDeleteI am always reminded of Christmas whenever I eat these types of ham. Because on a regular day, we only have the sliced sweet ham. We also had ham on our Noche Buena. :) Will try Frabelle next time!
ReplyDeletei love hams for holidays. the only brand I can find here in Dubai were the ones made by Purefoods and it's a bit expensive. :-( I hope I will be able to try Frabelle next time.
ReplyDeleteFirst time to hear this brand but I think it's delicious too. Last Christmas and New year, we had here in Dubai hams from purefoods. At least, we felt, parang Pinas lang. :) Nakakamis ang pinas na...
ReplyDeleteA ball of ham is almost always present in the filipino dinner table every Christmas. It has become part of the noche buena tradition. May it be home cooked or bought in the supermarket. I'll try Frabella this year. :-)
ReplyDeleteI've tried Frabelle Ham too when I did my grocery in Robinson's in BF Homes and it's good. I prefer it over the expensive ones. Happy new year! :)
ReplyDeleteHappy new Year! We had ham for new year too, from Excellente in Quiapo. We've always had ham, but in the past two or three years we've been buying from Quiapo. It's more pricey, but the difference in taste is huge! We've yet to try Frabelle Ham. Maybe I'll convince the boyfriend that we can buy that instead of going to Quiapo this week. You see, he hasn't had enough of ham yet. hehe :)
ReplyDeleteWe always buy Purefoods. I wish this was available in my city. I could have tried it. (baka di ko lang alam. hehe)
ReplyDeleteWe consumed so many hams the past holidays, I was not too aware of the brand, heehee! I also ran out of ideas on how to prepare ham, too. I've tried it in macaroni salad, in spaghetti, with pineapple juice and in an omelette. :-)
ReplyDeleteThe ham looks super yummy. I'm sure it taste as good as it looks!!
ReplyDeleteYou spent the holidays in Bacolod! I was ecstatic when I read 'Bacolod' in your post. Are you from Neg. Occ? :) I'm an ilongga, from a town near Bacolod. Sorry for the off topic ha, I always get so giddy every time I meet someone from my province. Hehehe! :)
ReplyDeleteHubby got to receive this ham from his boss and it was indeed good but not the premium one of course. I hope it's available here as well.
ReplyDeleteI'm not sure what brand of ham my brother bought last New Year's Eve. But it tasted good also because he cooked it with some additional ingredients. I guess I'll have to try this Frabelle Ham next time. :)
ReplyDeleteWe had crispy pata and lechon manok instead. But I have been hearing good reviews about Frabelle's ham so maybe next Christmas or New Year we will try it.
ReplyDeletea lot of mommies said frabelle taste really good, i didn't bought frabelle, we had still purefoods, maybe i can try next time
ReplyDeleteI barely saw frabelle pala here in Baguio. If I see it on December 2013 i will try it :)
ReplyDeleteI will try this Tyna :) Holidays are really incomplete without hams :)
ReplyDeleteI should get this one next time pag walang free gift cert from the company. :)
ReplyDeleteis this available the whole year? :-) hehehe ham's what i missed last holidays...we forgot to have some... hehehe
ReplyDeletewe don't have ham on our table on last Christmas and new year.. I miss it eh...
ReplyDeletei've tasted frabelle's hotdog and its so good, i wonder kung expensive kaysa sa ibang brand...
ReplyDeletestill have to check this out... many times we choose what we are used to!
ReplyDeleteI already found where I can buy frabelle her in Bohol so my next grocery, its my time to try its product.
