Toddler's Nook and Breastfeeding Station at the Bacolod-Silay Airport

I wrote about the Toddler’s nook at the IloiloCity Airport when we travelled to Bacolod via Iloilo last April.  I was pretty impressed that they had an area specifically for kids and nursing moms because most often if the flight gets delayed, then some kids get cranky.  We spent our New Year in Bacolod and guess what I found at the Bacolod-Silay Airport? They too have a Toddler’s play area and a Nursing station.

Kudos to the government for putting up Toddler's nook and Breastfeeding stations.  It's already hard to travel if you bring a lot of baggage with you, much more if you are traveling with kids.  And all nursing moms like me really really appreciate a private area where we could feed our babies, in my case, my toddler. 

I wonder if we have one of this in every domestic airport in the country? Do you know?

SM Baby Company's Grand Baby Fair Year 3

If you have been following my blog, you will probably notice one thing – I love going to Bazaars and Baby Fairs.  It’s not like I have gazillions of cash to spend but I actually like checking out what I could buy at a fraction of a cost.  One Mega Sale that I look forward to is the Baby Company’s Grand Baby Fair. 

Because we don’t have a nanny, we ended up taking our son with us to Megamall.  We arrived at almost 12noon on a Friday and was pretty surprised that there were already a lot of shoppers – contrary to what I was expecting.

Expect a lot of discounts from the exhibitors.  Playtex for one is selling sippy cups for 150php.  I would have bought one if my son don't have too much of these at home.  Avent is selling their standard bottle for only 300php and wide neck bottles for 600php (9oz) and 550php (4 oz).  Great prices if you ask me considering that they produce quality products.

There's more.  If you purchase at least 3000php, you get a SWAG BAG with lots of Freebies inside.  Not all Swag bags contain the same items but anyone can be pretty happy with all these free goodies.

We went home that day with items that we came there for.  The items that we bought didn't qualify us to get the Swag Bag but I am sooo glad (so is my hubby) that we stayed within our budget this time.  Here's what we took home:

 Replacement Valves for my son’s sippy cup – bought it for 95php. Regular price was around 200php

Elle mini skirt for my daughter – bought it for 300php

Smart Steps Bottle Cleanser – A pack contains a 400ml cleanser with dispenser and two 250ml refill and a free bottle for only 262php.  When you buy 500php worth of Smart Steps products you get a Baby Bottle Keeper.  We don’t have a lot of bottles at home but I figure we could use the container to store other baby items like toys.

Smart Steps Disney Mosquito Patch – only 95php for 2 packs of 12 patches.  My daughter is crazy about Phineas and Ferb so we bought one for her.

Sansflou Toothbrush – 95php.  Their toothbrush is just adorable

Tiny Buds Scratch off – 143php.  Great for mosquito and insect bites.

Safety 1st Grooming Kit – FREE. Won this at the Grand Baby Fair. Yay!!
